Dr. T.S. Channesh
Director
Dr. T.S. Channesh has obtained B.Sc. (Agri)., M.Sc (Agri) and Ph.D. degrees from UAS, Bangaluru. He earned his masters and Ph.D with specialization in Soil Science. As an independent researcher, he is presently concentrated in the studies and research on interfaces between science and society, through his initiation of an institute viz. Centre for Public Understanding of Science, Bangalore.
He began his career as a Scientist at Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Science, Bengalure during the year 1988 and served there evolving many novel application tools into technology interfaces in life sciences including agriculture. He moved to Kannada University, Hampi during the year 2004 for heading the department of History of Sciences. Later he moved to initiate an independent research centre, Mount Carmel for Advanced Scientific Research, as a research director. He also served as a Soil
scientist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chintamani of UAS Bangalore between 2007 and 2012. He was a Visiting Professor at Karnataka Folklore University, Shiggavi, Haveri during 2005- 06. He was founding Dean of GPS Institute of Agricultural Management, Bengaluru.
He is a Soil scientist by academic training and Science communicator by passion. Karnataka State Science and Technology Academy has recognised his services in agricultural science communication and awarded him as Best Agricultural Science Writer in the year 2010. About Eight of his Science books have been published by Kannada University, Orient Longman and Navakarnataka Publishers.

Prof. G. Venkatesh

Prof. Venkatesh is Professor & HOD, Electronics & Communication in Brindavan College of Engineering, Bengaluru. He earned his Bachelors degree from SJCE, Mysore and MS from BITS, Pilani. He has a teaching experience spanning 25 years working at different engineering colleges at Mysore, Hassan, Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru.
Apart from the academics, he is interested in Literature, Photography, Classical Music and Science Communication. He is also a Sitar player learning from Pt. Jayanth Kumar Das.
He has published many articles related to Science, Literature, Photography and other disciplines in leading dailies and magazines of Karnataka.

Akash Balakrishna

Sri. Akash Balakrishna is a Post-graduate in Electronics & Communication, currently working as a Technical Officer in ISTRAC/ISRO, Bengaluru. He works in the field of Navigation Systems and is passionate about research in the areas of Global and Regional Navigation Systems like GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, IRNSS etc.
His interests are vivid including Science Communication, Bird Watching, Hindustani Classical Music and Literature. He also writes about various aspects of Biology of cancer. He has arranged many technical talks in his organization and other educational institutions as part of science outreach.

Mr. U.S. Mahesh

Sri. Mahesh has a vast editorial experience in publishing industry and print media. He has single handedly operated publication division with several hundred books in various disciplines.
He is an artist by passion and an enthusiast in outreach activities.
